Adrian Shubert is professor emeritus in history at York University in Toronto, Canada. He is the author of The Edwin Fox: How an Ordinary Sailing Ship Connected the World in the Age of Globalization, 1850-1914 (2023), with co-author Boyd Cothran, and The Sword of Luchana: Baldomero Espartero and the Making of Modern Spain, 1793-1879 (2021).
