Francesca Trivellato is the Andrew W Mellon Professor in the School of Historical Studies at the Institute for Advanced Study in Princeton, New Jersey. She is the author of The Familiarity of Strangers (2009) and The Promise and Peril of Credit (2019). She is a founding coeditor of Capitalism: A Journal of History and Economics.
