Nikita Sud is professor of the politics of development at the University of Oxford, UK. She is the author of Liberalization, Hindu Nationalism and the State: A Biography of Gujarat (Oxford University Press, 2012) and The Making of Land and the Making of India (OUP, 2021). She is working on the monograph Powered by The South: Energy, Extraction and Assertion in the Majority World, forthcoming with Princeton University Press.
