Richard Beard

Richard Beard is an English writer. His novels include Damascus (1998), Dry Bones (2004), Lazarus Is Dead (2011) and Acts of the Assassins (2015), shortlisted for the UK Goldsmiths Prize, for novels that ‘extend the possibilities of the novel form’. His non-fiction includes the memoirs The Day That Went Missing (2017), winner of the 2018 PEN Ackerley Award for literary autobiography, and Sad Little Men (2021).
