Scott R Stroud is a philosopher and scholar of rhetoric. He is associate professor in the Department of Communication Studies at the University of Texas at Austin and the author of John Dewey and the Artful Life (Pennsylvania State University Press, 2011), Kant and the Promise of Rhetoric (PSUP, 2014) and The Evolution of Pragmatism in India: Ambedkar, Dewey, and the Rhetoric of Reconstruction (University of Chicago Press, 2023), which was also published in India as The Evolution of Pragmatism in India: An Intellectual Biography of B.R. Ambedkar (HarperCollins India, 2023).
