Sherry Chan is a writer and editor based in Hong Kong and London. She writes about animals, AI, the evolving notions of intelligence and sentience, alongside broader questions of public health, migration, the human condition, and the stories humans tell to make sense of our vulnerability. She is academically trained in sociology and religious studies, and is now the Editor-in-Chief of Initium Media, an independent, award-winning Chinese-language media platform.
