The short documentary Electric Garden takes a trip to Luna Parc, the home and creative project of the US artist and craftsman Ricky Boscarino. For nearly four decades, Boscarino has been transforming a dilapidated hunting lodge in the forests of New Jersey into a multi-level space that defies convention – part living museum, part work of art, and wholly an expression of individuality, with his eccentric personality woven into each detail. Constantly evolving alongside its owner, every new addition to Luna Parc blends artistic vision with everyday function. Through the short documentary, the US-based director Sam Vladimirsky reflects on creation as a deeply personal language, and seems to invite viewers to consider the character of their own lived-in spaces – even if they’re not on a mission to own the most recognisable home in New Jersey.
