Angela Kennedy is a university lecturer and independent researcher in sociology, based in London. Her book Authors of our own Misfortune? The Problems with Psychogenic Explanations for Physical Illnesses was published in 2012 by the Village Digital Press. Her academic interests in recent years have formed around disability; the sociology of science, health and medicine; and the social exclusion of specific disadvantaged groups, especially within state, medical and legal discourse. She is also a carer to another family member.
