April Reese is an independent science and environment journalist based in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Her work has appeared in Scientific American, Outside, bioGraphic and The Guardian, among many other outlets. Previously, she was an editor at Discover and Cosmos in Australia. She lives in Santa Fe, New Mexico with her two cats, Cali and Asha.
