Aris Komporozos-Athanasiou is an associate professor of sociology and director of the Centre for Capitalism Studies at University College London. He is the author of Speculative Communities Living with Uncertainty in a Financialized World (Chicago, 2022) and Real Fake: An Intellectual History of Distortion (MIT, 2025).
