Athena Aktipis is an associate professor in the psychology department at Arizona State University, co-director of the Human Generosity Project and co-founder of the Center for Evolution and Cancer at the University of California, San Francisco. Her first book is The Cheating Cell: How Evolution Helps Us Understand and Treat Cancer (2020) and she hosts the podcast Zombified. She lives in Tempe, Arizona.
