Catherine Maxwell

Catherine Maxwell is professor of Victorian literature at Queen Mary University of London. Her monographs include The Female Sublime from Milton to Swinburne: Bearing Blindness (2001) and Second Sight: The Visionary Imagination in Late Victorian Literature (2008). Her latest book is Scents and Sensibility: Perfume in Victorian Literary Culture (Oxford University Press, 2017).
