Jane Maienschein

University Professor of History and Science & Director, Center for Biology and Society, Arizona State University, US

Jane Maienschein directs the Center for Biology and Society at Arizona State University, US. She is also a fellow and director of the History and Philosophy of Science Project and the McDonnell Project on Regeneration at the Marine Biological Laboratory in Woods Hole, Massachusetts. As University Professor, Regents Professor, and President’s Professor, she specialises in the history and philosophy of biology and the way that biology, bioethics and biopolicy play out in society. Her latest book is What Is Regeneration? (University of Chicago Press, 2022) co-authored with Kate MacCord.
