Should we be afraid of AI?
Machines seem to be getting smarter and smarter and much better at human jobs, yet true AI is utterly implausible. Why?
CORRIGENDA. Two small corrections: the three occurrences of “pace” in the text are not mine and they are meaningless, please read them as “thanks to”. And a phrase occurs twice “The serious risk is that we might misuse our smart technologies, to the detriment of most of humanity and the whole planet.”. I like the emphasis, but the second occurrence should be erased. Thank you. Luciano Floridi
