Maryam Mahjoba (pen name) is a writer from Afghanistan. She is a member of Paranda, a global network of Afghan women writers, and her short stories have been published in My Pen Is the Wing of a Bird: New Fiction by Afghan Women (United Kingdom: MacLehose Press, Feb 2022), Words Without Borders and The Markaz Review. She is a contributing writer to the collective diary My Dear Kabul: A Year in the Life of an Afghan Women’s Writing Group (Coronet, 2024) and is currently working on two novels.
