Michael Cholbi is professor and personal chair in philosophy at the University of Edinburgh in in Scotland, UK. He has published many articles and books on the ethics of suicide, assisted dying, and suicide prevention. He is the founder of the International Association for the Philosophy of Death and Dying (IAPDD) and a member of the Philosophers’ Consortium on Assisted Dying in Scotland (PCADS).
