Michael W Bruening is professor in the Department of History and Political Science at Missouri University of Science and Technology. His books include Calvinism’s First Battleground (2005), A Reformation Sourcebook (2017) and Refusing to Kiss the Slipper (2021), and he is working on an online edition of Sebastian Castellio’s correspondence, and on a history of the conflicts between Calvin and Castellio.
