Olúfẹ́mi Táíwò is professor of African Political Thought at the Africana Studies and Research Center at Cornell University in New York. He is the author of How Colonialism Preempted Modernity in Africa (Indiana University Press, 2010), Africa Must Be Modern (IUP, 2014) and Against Decolonisation: Taking African Agency Seriously (Hurst, 2021).
