Paula Marantz Cohen is Distinguished Professor of English and dean of the Pennoni Honors College at Drexel University in Philadelphia. She is the author of fiction and nonfiction, including Of Human Kindness: What Shakespeare Teaches Us About Empathy (2021) and Talking Cure: An Essay on the Civilizing Power of Conversation (2023). She also hosts the interview series The Civil Discourse, and directed the documentary film Two Universities and the Future of China (2014).
