Rahila Gupta is a writer and journalist whose work has appeared in The Guardian, New Statesman and New Internationalist, among others. Her books include Enslaved: The New British Slavery (2008) and Provoked (2007), co-authored with Kiranjit Ahluwalia; she co-scripted the film Provoked based on the book and her play Don’t Wake Me: The Ballad of Nihal Armstrong (2019) toured the UK, US and India. She lives in London.
