Shaun O’Dwyer is a professor in the Faculty of Languages and Cultures at Kyushu University in Japan. He is the author of Confucianism’s Prospects (SUNY Press, 2019) and the editor of Handbook of Confucianism in Modern Japan (AUP, 2022). He is currently working on a new edited volume titled ‘Confucianism at War: 1931-1945’.
