A mantis shrimp (Odontodactylus scyllarus) builds its nest and vehemently defends it against intruders. Jose Lachat’s short documentary is a film about strength, stoicism and honour, a sort of undersea High Noon replete with a suitably Ennio Morricone-esque soundtrack.
