Arun Kumar is a postdoctoral fellow at the Merian Tagore International Centre for Advanced Studies, New Delhi, and will join the Nottingham University History Department as an assistant professor of British Imperial, Colonial and Post-Colonial History in September 2019. His book The Silent Rebellion: Working-Class Dreams, Education and Welfare Capitalism is forthcoming.
