Camilla Townsend is the author of Fifth Sun: A New History of the Aztecs (Oxford, 2019), among other books. She teaches Native American history at Rutgers University in New Brunswick, New Jersey. Her research in Nahuatl-language sources has garnered numerous awards, including a Guggenheim and a Public Scholar award from the National Endowment for the Humanities.
