Derek Jonathan Penslar is the William Lee Frost Professor of Jewish History and director of the Center for Jewish Studies at Harvard University. His books include Zionism: An Emotional State (2023) and the co-edited Unacknowledged Kinships: Postcolonial Studies and the Historiography of Zionism (2023).
