Ola Olsson is professor of economics and vice-dean at the School of Business, Economics, and Law at University of Gothenburg in Sweden. His areas of research include long-run development, the resource curse, and the political economy of climate change and conflict. His new book Prehistorical Economics: From African Origins to Early States is due out in 2019.
