Roger Backhouse is professor of the history and philosophy of economics at the University of Birmingham in the UK and at Erasmus University Rotterdam in the Netherlands. He is the author of Founder of Modern Economics: Paul A Samuelson, Volume I: Becoming Samuelson, 1915-1948 (2017).
