Gear up for a stylish celebration of vintage motorcycle design

The UK filmmaker Paul Bush is known for his stop-motion animations using repurposed objects. In his nostalgic short Ride, Bush finds his muse in the iconic motorcycles of the 1950s and ’60s. Steeped in biker nostalgia, the film builds a wild ride by combining images of dozens of classic motorcycles from a motorcycle museum in Portugal. As the whirlwind imagery of headlights, exhaust pipes, bolts and screws joins with the satisfying sputters and vrooms of a lightweight motorcycle engine, Bush builds a meticulous and delightful countryside ride. You can learn more about how the film was made on Bush’s Vimeo channel.
